Zela Trovke (Cutting Grass), Asier Altuna’s latest short film, is being premièred in the Zabaltegi Section of the Donostia Film Festival. The film, featuring the Hernani singer and violinist Maite Larburu, and her fellow musicians in the Holland Baroque Society, was shot in the autumn of 2012 in Amsterdam and Utrecht (The Netherlands).
Koldo Almandoz’es short film “Deus et Machina” was very well received at Freiluftkino, the Hamburg open air film festival. It was chosen from all the films in the competition to be shown on the evening of the 15th of August before “The Gold Rush”, which Charles Chaplin filmed in 1925.
Asier Altuna finished shooting the last scenes during the first week of September in the Bardenas Reales. The filming of “Soroa” started in 2012. After various breaks, the director has been able to finish filming and is now editing the film. It will be completed in a few weeks after adding various special effects. This short film is based on a poem by Jorge Oteiza.
